Weeks 4 & 5

Peyton is now 5 weeks old. She weighs 10lbs 1oz and is 22in long. We started tummy time this week & trying out all our cool activity toys. She loves her baths, morning is her favorite time of day and she is now staying awake between 1 and 1 1/2 hours between naps.

Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving

The night before Peyton's first Thanksgiving she played in her exersaucer while mommy baked a pecan pie. At only a month old, Peyton was preparing for a visit from our friend Bob & mommy was getting ready to cook Thanksgiving dinner by herself for the first time ever!

3 Weeks & Growing!

With the 3rd week we found out Peyton has reflux. The doctor gave us medicine for it and it seems to be getting better. Peyton has found her voice and loves to talk in the mornings. Peyton also lost her umbilical cord and we got to take our first real bath. She loved every minute of it. Stay tuned for the video!

What's That? Peyton Can Talk Now!

3 1/2 weeks old and she has found her voice! She is the most talkative first thing in the morning when she is rested and playing in her glider chair. Thanks for this fabulous gift Unlce Bro; we don't know what we would do without it since Peyton will only sleep here at night for the time being!

Oh What A Surprise!

Well, after we completed Peyton's first bath and were carrying her back to her room to dress, let's just say she gave mommy a stinky surprise (all over my shirt). Long story, short....we had to start over again, but we finally completed our first bath.

First Bath, Part II

Peyton's cord fell off after 3 weeks so she got her first real bath mid-November; she was a very good girl!

Sleepless Nights?

Of course not, any daughter of McK's would want as much sleep as possible. Well Peyton was sleeping great for the first two weeks. Mommy and Daddy (or at least Daddy) were getting almost full nights of sleep. Everyone at work would tell McK that he didn't look like he was losing sleep and he kept saying that Peyton is sleeping habits are great! But of course he spoke a bit too soon. Peyton's like her mommy now!! The last few nights have not been full nights of sleep, but the early returns tonight are much more positive.
