Peyton turned 7 months, May 22nd and has been cracking us up ever since. Unfortunately, she got an ear infection over Memorial Day weekend (same ear as 2 months ago) but is now back to sleeping normally and in good spirits again. The day after she turned 7 months we found her standing up in her crib, luckily mommy sensed it coming so we had already dropped her crib to the lowest level. Last night she pulled herself up and was standing in the tub. Mommy and daddy will be sure to try and prevent that from happening again. Speaking of bath time, she loves to suck the water out of the wash cloth we use. A few weeks ago she figured out that if she dips the wash cloth back in the water she can go again. The girl is definitely getting her water intake these days :) She is also fascinated with the drain in the bath tub. She tried to crawl out of her whale bath tub to get to it. I am afraid we are going to have to start putting her in the big girl tub instead of her ususal one.
At school she is crawling across the room to the book shelf and is happy as a lark she can get to all the toys she has been eyeing for months. She has a little boyfriend they call Ry Ry. Ms. Norma says they entertain each other. Peyton has also learned a new game from the baby in the crib next to her. They throw their binks in the other crib and then try to pull the blankets back and forth.
Peyton hadn't been that interested in her sippy cup and would only chew on the spout so mommy took the stopper out of it. She now likes to drink a little water each day from her cup. She is getting better at swallowing before it runs out of her mouth as well. She is also starting to eat Stage 2 foods and even got to try a new flavor...mangoes. Yummmmm. She is still having trouble with reflux but we are hoping it will be gone in the next few months.
She is an outside girl and loves to be in social settings. We take daily walks, swing and go to the park when the weather permits. We had a couple people over for a cookout and she loved all the company and attention!
